When a slice of the epidermis is examined under a microscope, we see a hair follicle that has pierced through the skin’s surface into the subcutaneous layer. Inside lies the secretory sebaceous tissue. The waxy oil that is secreted into the hair follicles is called the sebum. This oil lubricates the skin and scalp of mammals....

Ian McKellen has to be one of the most friendly actors in Hollywood, so when he was recently invited to participate in a private discussion with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy he was elated. Days after AfterShock went viral for claims regarding the failure to pay creator royalties, the comics publisher has filed for bankruptcy protection. Monday, the parent company of the comics outfit, AfterShock Comics, LLC, filed for Chapter 11 protection. The company filed its paperwork in the District of Central California, listing assets between $10 million and $50 million. The company’s liabilities are also listed for the same amounts. Rive Gauche Television, the parent company of AfterShock’s film and television development arm, also filed for bankruptcy protection....

This weekend, fans of House of the Dragon were (once again) in uproar about the poor technical presentation of the show, with scenes so dark that many viewers said they couldn’t see what was going on or tell who was talking. For the first time since 2016’s Yoga Hosers, Kevin Smith recently revealed that he is writing a new film that, from all apperances, will not take place in the “View Askewniverse” of movies like Clerks, Mallrats, and Dogma. At the time, Smith gave scant few details, but shortly after, he told the audience on an episode of Fatman Beyond that the movie is a period piece, set in the 1980s. And now, ahead of his panel at Comic Con International in San Diego this weekend, Smith has shared a peek at the first page of the script for the movie (but not the title)....
