According to a new report from Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics, there were several layoffs today in WWE’s marketing department. Thurston says multiple people at the VP level were let go, and theorizes it is part of a restructuring. On Twitter, Thurston wrote “I’m told there were layoffs today to WWE’s marketing department. Multiple people at the VP level were let go. Possibly a part of a restructuring to that department. EVP Catherine Newman was hired this summer as the new head of marketing....

The Kansas City Chiefs won their third AFC Championship in four years on Sunday night by beating the Cincinnati Bengals 23-20 via a last-second field goal at Arrowhead Stadium. The team’s victory celebration included various players clapping back at all the trash-talking the Bengals players and their fans had done leading up to the game. The last few weeks have brought about some bad blood between Liv Morgan and Sonya Deville, and as the matches have played out they’ve become more vicious. Last week Morgan would hit a Superplex on Deville from the top rope, sending her into a pile of chairs, and on tonight’s WWE SmackDown she raised the stakes. Morgan would get a Kendo Stick and smash it to splinters after hitting Deville several times, and then she would counter a move by Deville and send her through a table in the process....

WWE NXT’s Worlds Collide opened with a fantastic match between NXT North American Champion Carmelo Hayes and SmackDown Superstar Ricochet, who once held that very same title during his time in NXT. Ricochet looked to have the match won but Trick Williams intervened at a key moment, and Hayes was able to ultimately claim victory and retain his Title. Tonight Ricochet looked to settle the score by taking on Williams one on one, with Melo watching on commentary, and Williams had an impressive showing against the former Intercontinental Champion....
