Warner Bros. has been in the hot seat a lot this year after their big merger with Discovery. Newly appointed CEO David Zaslav has proven himself as a strictly business kind of boss and has been looking to reroute the course of the DC Films ship. Zaslav is currently looking for a Kevin Feige type executive to shepherd the next ten years at DC Films. He’s also been on a tangent canceling a bunch of films like Batgirl and The Wonder Twins....

A new Halo Infinite update has some dividing news for Xbox fans. After a promising start, it’s fair to say 343 Industries has botched yet another Halo game. At release, Halo Infinite had lots of buzz around it, and rightfully so as it was an improvement compared to previous 343 Industries outings. However, it was also missing content that took far too long to add and the post-launch support of the multiplayer has been amateurish compared to its competition in the live-service space....

One Piece: Red will be hitting theaters across Japan later this Summer, and it is gearing up for its official IMAX release with a special new poster! Toei Animation has had quite a busy year as while Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero is now working its way through theaters, and one of their other major franchises will be hitting next month as well. One Piece is shaking things up for this next film, however, as one of the big hooks behind it as the fact that it will be involving Shanks in a key role for the first real time in the franchise in quite some time....

Ryan Reynolds’ Clue movie has a fully-completed script. Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick have been working on the project. They spoke to Discussing Film about their time on Spiderhead and other movies. The duo has been at work on Deadpool 3 as well. Everyone is awaiting word on how that project will fit into the larger MCU tapestry. But, Clue also came up as well. The Dead Island 2 team was apparently “re-energized” by the trailer for Goat Simulator 3. For those who aren’t aware, Dead Island 2 was announced in 2014 with a flashy trailer at Sony’s E3 press conference. At the start of the trailer, it was unclear what the game was as it featured a man jogging down Venice Beach in Los Angeles, California while listening to music. The longer his jog goes along, more chaos begins to ensue around him, all of which is caused by zombies....

Overwatch 2 is currently still in its beta form ahead of the PvP release set for October, and during this testing time, it’s gotten a couple of updates to rebalance the experience just as we’d expect from a game that was already widely available. Pokemon Go’s December Community Day event was held this past weekend, which means Niantic is already looking ahead to next month. Today, the developer announced plans for the first Community Day of 2023, which will see the Pokemon Chespin in the spotlight! The event will take place on Saturday January 7th starting at 2 p.m. local time and running until 5 p.m. local time. Shiny hunting is always one of the biggest highlights of Community Day, and the event will see the Pokemon Go debut of Shiny Chespin, which will be available for the first time in the game....

After literally years of fancasting him as Wolverine in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, ComicBook.com recently confirmed that Kingsman star Taron Egerton had indeed met with producers at Marvel. But, he clarified in a new interview with the Happy Sad Confused podcast, not for Wolverine. The meeting, which was a very general type of thing that many actors have with Kevin Feige, supposedly happened four years ago, before the idea of Egerton as Wolverine has taken hold in quite the same way it has more recently....
