Everyone likes to learn to do something new from time to time, and it’s a fun activity for a couple or a group to share. In Missouri, especially in St. Louis it seems, there are all kinds of interesting things you can learn to do, and they vary in price from pretty cheap to very expensive. - Learn to hunt.
http://mdc.mo.gov/gallery If you want to learn how to hunt in Missouri, there are actually quite a few options, going through the Missouri Department of Conservation. For example there’s a hunter education class coming up at Springfield Nature Center on Friday, December 11th from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. This class is one option available to complete the knowledge portion of the hunter education certification process, but a skills session will also be needed before you can obtain certification.
- Learn to paint.

Salume Beddu in St. Louis offers a two-day course in Hog Butchery that they call PorkShop, which covers such topics as the importance of heritage breed hogs, whole hog butchery, basic cure techniques and at-home sausage making. The class ends with a nose to tail dinner hosted by Local Harvest Cafe with wine pairings available. It’s not cheap ($425), but it fills up fast, so if this interests you….go for it. Start with Earth to Air and Beginner Yoga Basics, a workshop-style class that breaks down yoga poses and suspension yoga poses. Then, once you have the process down, move to Earth to Air Suspension Yoga Basics. Aerial yoga is a combination of traditional floor yoga poses and postures practiced using a soft fabric “trapeze” (called a “sling”) suspended at either knee, hip or waist height. Although it might seem extremely difficult at first glance, in truth, newcomers enjoy working with the sling because gravity and inversion provide less pressure or stress on the joints, especially the spine.
