Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II will supposedly feature remakes of classic maps from the original Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 which was released in 2009. The original game is widely regarded as one of the best shooters and online experiences from the Xbox 360 era. It was arguably the peak of the Call of Duty franchise, forcing people to communicate (for better or worse) in game chat, amazing game modes, great gunplay, and completely broken weapon balancing. However, the fact everything was turned up to 11 made it a thrill, especially because it had some of the most memorable maps of the series. To this day, games remake maps from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 with no spins and it seems like that may happen again.

Interesting piece of info I heard from a trustworthy source recently…Infinity Ward are planning to release all/almost all Modern Warfare 2 (2009) maps together all at once some time during the post launch of Modern Warfare II (2022). Very likely this could be Year 2 content. pic.twitter.com/7ZdVTftcug
