Protists are eukaryotic organisms. Kingdom Protista contains all of the eukaryotic organisms that are not plants, animals, or fungi. Most protists also contain mitochondria, and some contain chloroplasts for photosynthesis. Many fungi-like and plant-like protists also have a cell wall.
