It’s PIE time! My mom loved nothing better that a nice slice of pie and a cup of hot coffee. She passed that love down to me. Pie is just so pretty that it’s like a work of art. The beautiful, flaky, hand-rolled crust that has been crimped and fluted, laced, and cut into shapes is just marvelous to look at. The fillings can be as different and as many as there are colors in a mega box of crayons! Plus, they are so delicious… Okay. I’m making myself hungry and I have to write this article. It seems to me that pie is making the comeback now as more and more bakeries are discovering the artistry of all that comes with baking something as simple and as wonderful as pie. Now, go out and get yourself a beautiful thick slice or just buy a whole one to take home. You won’t regret it.
