When the weather is warm in New York, there’s nothing better than finding a great place to eat that has outdoor dining. One of our favorite things though? When the outdoor dining puts us right near the water! There’s nothing more relaxing than enjoying a view of the water while you enjoy your meal. While we have plenty of lakefront and even oceanfront restaurants, today we’re going to focus on some of the hidden gems you can discover right along our rivers.

Ready to make your stomach rumble? These 11 New York restaurants right on the river will quickly win you over.

  1. The Silo Restaurant - Lewiston

Jan_traveler51184/TripAdvisor

AmericanHomestead/TripAdvisor A piece of Lewiston’s history for over 100 years, this restaurant just may be the most unique on our list. In 1998 The Silo would open its doors as the new refreshment stand in town, converting the original silo into something everyone can enjoy. The restaurant serves up a menu that is completely drool worthy, including things like Beef on Weck to speciality hot dogs and burgers. With panoramic views of the Niagara River, there’s not much you won’t love about this place.

Another bonus? In 2010 the owner found a retired train caboose dating back to the late 1800s and has now converted it into an Ice Cream stand! Seriously, this place is bucket list worthy.
